    Clarisse McClellan

“Do you mind if I walk back with you? I’m Clarisse McClellan.”

The first womenswear collection by TH/E is inspired by a fictional teenager who:

is a pedestrian in a world where everyone drives,
likes a sunrise better than a screen,
prefers authenticity to the artifice of media,
    asks why all the time.

Welcome to the world of Clarisse McClellan, the missing neighbour in the novel Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. She is a catalyst for seeing the world with fresh eyes, for asking questions both risky and liberating. Why, for example, is the job of a fireman no longer that of putting out fires? Why are they told to start them instead?

This collection captures the essence of our character muse over a twelve month period through a versatile wardrobe composed of paperweight and translucent materials against luxurious crepe de chine and technical silk fabrics. All has been crafted for originality with a rawness filled with Clarisse’s youthful optimism and insouciant non-conformity.
